Ísponica (Iceland)
Ísponica ehf. is an Icelandic company focused on sustainable food production, circular resource use and rural innovation. Through its aquaponics and vertical farming systems, Ísponica demonstrates how food can be produced efficiently in challenging northern environments while minimizing water use and waste. Within GROW+, Ísponica provides practical training opportunities for young people, introducing participants to aquaponics, water quality management, controlled-environment agriculture and sustainable food production. By opening its facilities as a living laboratory, Ísponica helps youth gain hands-on experience while showcasing innovative approaches to resilient and environmentally responsible farming.
